RIVERSIDE, Calif.—The UC Riverside Women's Soccer team will look to respond after its first loss of the season when UC Irvine visits UCR Soccer Stadium on Thursday.
The Highlanders (10-1-2, 1-1-1) are looking for their second conference victory after a 0-0 draw with Cal Poly on Friday and a 1-0 loss to UCSB on Sunday. UC Irvine (7-5-1) is the only team still undefeated (3-0) in the Big West and comes in on a five-game winning streak.
"UC Irvine will be well prepared and organized as coach [Scott] Juniper always has his teams," head coach Nat Gonzalez said. "The women are ready for the weekend starting with UC Irvine to get back on the positive side of the results column. We had a good week of training and I look forward to seeing that translate on Thursday night."
