The team's combined for just seven shots in the first period as the game went into halftime tied at zero.
The 49ers (11-5-1, 4-2-0) outshot the Highlanders (7-8-1, 2-3-0) 10-4 in the second half, and in the 74th minute of play Nicole Sweetman corralled a rebounded ball and sent in into the back of the net for the score.
