Riverside—The UC Riverside Volleyball Team continues Big West Conference action against Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, October 6 beginning at 7 pm PT at the SRC Arena.
October is breast cancer awareness month, and the Highlanders are doing their part by hosting their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game during Saturday's match. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a free breast cancer awareness t-shirt, and UC Riverside's The Well will be on site passing out pink ribbons and informational pamphlets.
Breast Cancer Awareness 365 will also be selling items at the match, and will donate part of their proceeds to the Pink Ribbon Place.
Additionally, the Highlanders will honor UCR volleyball alum Sandra Houston for her efforts in the fight against breast cancer.
UC Riverside is still searching for its first league win of the season, having dropped four straight to open conference play.
The Titans are coming off of a 3-2 win at UC Davis this past weekend, but dropped each of their three prior Big West matches.
Cal State Fullerton owns the all-time series record against UC Riverside, 25-13-1, including winning 14 straight matches.
